——-

The 2010 local elections in Pasig City is a clear example of a classic LP vs NP battle.

Incumbent Mayor Bobby Eusebio and Vice Mayor and actor Yoyong Martires sided with Manny Villar’s Nacionalista Party, while activist Ricardo Reyes and running-mate businessman John Javier joined forces with Noynoy Aquino’s Liberal Party.

Incumbent Rep. Roman Romulo of Lakas-Kampi-CMD faces off against LP’s Francisco “Sonny” Rivera for a seat in Congress.

Judging from the COMELEC list of official candidates for the city, the NP fielded nine candidates for Councilor in the 1st District. Also, LP only filled each district with three candidates for Councilor.

Names in italics are incumbent candidates running for re-election.
