CoC Filings Day 11

Been very busy this past few days. Period. Anyways…

November 30. Day 11 of the official filing of Certificates of Candidacy (CoC) for those running for elective positions in the 2010 National and Local Elections on May 10, 2010.

Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has formally announced her intention to run for Congresswoman of the 2nd District of Pampanga. She would be the first President to pursue a lower elective position after her term.

Sen. Noynoy Aquino and Environmentalist Nicky Perlas have filed their CoC’s for President yesterday (November 29). With Aquino is his running-mate, Sen. Mar Roxas and the whole Senatorial slate of the Liberal Party.

Meanwhile , Sen. Manny Villar, former President Joseph Estrada and Bro. Eddie Villanueva filed their respective CoC’s for President today. Estrada believes that “the people are still behind him.”

With Villar is his running-mate, Sen. Loren Legarda and the whole Senatorial slate of the Nacionalista Party. The NP held its Proclamation Rally in Tondo yesterday.

With Estrada is his running-mate, Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay and the whole Senatorial slate of the Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino party.

With Villanueva is his running-mate, former SEC Chair Perfecto Yasay, and the whole Senatorial slate, dubbed the “Magnificent Seven”, of his Bangon Pilipinas Movement Party.

Former DPWH Sec. Hermogenes “Jun” Ebdane did a Lacson yesterday and withrew from the 2010 Presidential Race due to lack of funds. His surprise announcement was made during the Proclamation Rally of his Peasants and Labor Party.
