CoC Filings Day Six

November 25. Day Six of the official filing of Certificates of Candidacy (CoC) for those running for elective positions in the 2010 National and Local Elections on May 10, 2010.

One candidate for President and four for Senator have filed their CoC’s today, including re-electionist Senator Lito Lapid. Lapid will run under the Lakas-KAMPI-CMD banner, and is the first one to do so from the ruling party. Lapid earlier planned to run again for Governor in Pampanga, but decided otherwise “on the request of Pres. GMA.”

Joining Lapid in the Lakas-KAMPI-CMD’s Senatorial slate are Sen. Bong Revilla, Health Sec. Francisco Duque III, Rey Langit, Binalonan, Pangasinan Mayor Ramon Guico and FPI Pres. Jesus Arranza.

Since Friday, 26 presidential, two vice presidential, and 17 senatorial hopefuls have filed their COCs at the Comelec. The last day for the filing of COCs is on December 1 at 12 midnight.

Seems like LP’s wanting to have Chiz on their team. Now, Sen. Noynoy Aquino is offering Sen. Chiz Escudero to become their campaign manager. They seem to forget that Chiz is not planning to align or support any political party.

In anticipation of Bayani Fernando’s resignation as MMDA Chairman after Fernando files his CoC for President, Malacañang has appointed a former judge to replace MMDA Chairman Fernando.
